just my everyday life

well……..here i am

i have been waiting, to start this blog, until a certain unpleasantness in my life was over, and hurray, it finally is. so here i am, and with nothing to say. seems about right. this blog will probably consist mostly of talk of my kids, or complaining, and no doubt some complaining about my kids. so while my husband is waxing poetic over at www.meanwhileacrosstown.com, here i’ll be, writing about my everyday life. i used to blog, in the same plain way elsewhere, mostly for myself, and a few moms i know, and i miss it. i miss it because it was an easy, quick record of our lives, of the kids. and because without it, how would i ever remember how sidney would say “han-guh-ber” when she meant hamburger, or olivia’s complete emission of the letter L ( instead of replacing it with W as is so common, as is rampant here right now with hannah ) sleeping=seeping, play=pay. and don’t even get me started on the value of knowing that all mom’s go through those teeth gritting moments, where you have to wonder how any child so young, can push your buttons so well.

and so now, where to turn to record how hannah is channeling elmer fudd, the very best showcase of which is her always enthusiastic greeting for the laying hens “hewoooo wadies” or her determination to be independent and do it “self” to all assistance offered now, hannah says “no….self” well i say thank goodness for wordpress i guess

i probably won’t post pictures often, having moved to the country recently, where we now exist on the internet like it’s 1994, no high speed here, only good ol’ dial up. and i probably won’t use capitals…..or proper grammar, lucky for you wordpress has a spell check, or it could really get ugly.

i still have work to do on the page of course, and precious little time i care to devote to it, but hey, at least i got the “awkward” first post out of the way

are you ready for winter already?

Living where/how you are living now would make me want to homeschool.

Its not like there isnt alot of work to do with the animals and chores.

But ah yeah I imagine your pantry is stocked. Gotta love harvest season. Meanwhile, I am waiting to see your pumpking pics for halloween.

i am actually hoping winter brings with it a bit of quiet time, all snowed in and all !!

plus the snow should bring the death of the hated cluster fly, which will bring me much joy

we managed to grow several small pumpkins this year, even though we were so late getting them in the ground, which the girls excitedly picked this weekend

now i have to throw together some costumes, are you guys doing the trick or treating thing?

we are going to do the trick or treat thing, but since my mom and aunt will be in town for it I might stay home most of the night and give away treats with Greer. Since she is just 2 its not like she does all that much so…but Jason simply uses the children as his excuse to go get a haul of candy. I honestly think he would sling Eva asleep over his shoulder so he could keep ringing doorbells if he could. HAHHAHA.

But we have already made fresh pumpkin pie which was yum. Its always fun to go pick pumpkins out.
